|
|
Hello! I was very excited to find this tool to help rid my phpbb of spammers, however I am having trouble get it setup. Particularly the last line of the instructions:
Run Log(psycho)Analyst (the PhpBB-LPA report will appear in the human reports just before the country report)
Am I running the "Process Hosts" file? The only other .exe I have is the Configure Hosts file. I assumed it was the process hosts but when I went back to the directory I have setup to store logs, it is empty. Also, where would I find the human and country reports?? I can't find anything referring to reports anywhere.
Any thoughts as to what I may be overlooking? I have gone over the walk through over and over and still cannot see what I am missing.
I appreciate any ideas! |

NM, I found VIPCODE mod to stop bots from registering on my forum and am using OUST SPAMMER script with Greasemonkey via Firefox to delete the hundreds of already registered spammers on my site.
MUCH easier than figuring this out. |

Hi Kaydi,
You first need to configure Log(psycho)Analyst using ConfigureHosts.exe.
1) create a new Host for your web site
2) Add a "File" datasource (i.e. directory where you store your log files)
3) configure the PhpBB-LPA visit plugin as stated in the plugin page.
4) Before saving, open the "host configuration directory" by using the "browse icon" button in the "Domain name" block.
Then you need to generate the reports using ProcessHosts.exe
You will then find the generated report in the "host configuration directory" you opened just above. Look into the "report" directory and open "index.html".
Under Windows, Log(psycho)Analyst will always store the reports in the
C:\Documents and Settings\currentUser\Application Data\LogPsychoAnalyst\hosts\yourHostName\report
Feel free to ask if you have some trouble to make it work.
Best,
